Stumble It!
Jackpot winner Colin Sturt is better than Derren Brown for sure!

Well I can quite possibly say that my next door neighbor Mr Colin Sturt needed no I repeat NO Derren Brown style camera trickery / shenanigans to scoop his share of the £26.1 Million pound Jackpot.
Colin and Family are super lovely It all couldn't happen to a nicer people. Seeing Col on SKY TV yesterday he came across as a fantastic role model for what makes Britain Great! Suffice to say his hardworking team at Brickforce are back already laying my patio and building a wall.
This morning Colin my new Multi-Millionaire mate popped round for a cup of tea and a chat to tell me that "I'm going to continue my weekly magic Lessons when the dust settles."
I agreed, but pointed out If you do ever become a part-time magician to be prepared. As one of the stock lines people ask is, "if your that good can make them win the lottery".
I guess he's got that one covered.
Its all quite incredulous that he won!

Doyle Brunson and Phil Helmuth

A few weeks back I got the chance to perform for two of my Poker Idols.
Phil Hellmuth and Mr Doyle Brunson (if your not into Poker lets just say they are as good as it gets) Phil has won 11 world series and Doyle the Godfather of Poker with 10 to his name; Both undoubtedly the greatest of there age!
I busted out a few cheeky poker routines from my bespoke poker cheating demonstartion.
For magicians reading this I did Variation of Marlo estimation and a Poker deal from shuffled deck + plus few other items... Doyle commented that last time he saw anything like that is was in the company of Mr John Scarne. who again was a real Idol of mine. What a compliment!

Sav Teams up with Sophie Conran

Recently, I've been lucky enough to repeatedly perform my act for various members of the Conran family as a result, Sophie Conran asked me to become an exclusive ‘resident magic expert’ at her new Cotswolds retreat, Sophie loves to throw a great house party and has created a selection inspired seasonal getaways specializing in bespoke parties.
I'll be joining a proverbial A-TEAM of inspirational talents who will imbue clientele with their eclectic and unusual arts, from floristry and knitting. My job as ‘Resident Magician’ will be performing & teaching (basic sleight of hand) to clients who visit the TG Manor. Other experts will include, Alistare Little, Fergus Henderson, Valentine Warner and Cheryl. Given half a chance I’ll be taking lessons in all pursuits.(Which will please Mrs Sav as she will be expecting some better cooking as a result!)
The venue is stunningly beautiful every corner you turn your faced with superlative interior design and many many pleasing objects not to mention the marvellous grounds. I'm sure TG will be a sterling destination for many a discerning traveller who wants that little extra.

£50 Seal of approval from Grammy award winning Damon Albarn!

Last night I was performing at my residency at the Lonsdale Notting hill. I clock a bloke at the bar in a pork pie hat and skinny suit. Trusting my 20 / 20 vision I think HA that bloke thinks he's Damon Albarn!
5 mins later the manager walks up to me and goes "Hey Sav make sure you go see Damon, he looks like he needs cheering up"! Sure enough the Blur / Gorillas front man was in the building. Also in his posse were other notable types most prominently Mick Jones (Clash) Whom I'd met before at another bash.
I approach Mick thankfully smiles and half recognizes me, grinning like a small happy puppy but cock sure I say hello and ask hows things. I know he knows my face but obviously can't think where I mention we met at Tracey's birthday party busting out the deck. He smiles and Introduces me to Mr Albarn (which was my plan all along) Always good to get an intro when meeting a Grammy award winning star and Hero.
With out missing a beat he states quite clearly this better be GOOD! (with a slightly drunken dis-interest) Unfazed I proceed with a bunch of my material in a cool (half arsed ..secretly...thinking blow this fella away type mode)
The required result happens Mr Blur is now laughing an reeling in the moment of seeing coins float disappear then de-materialise. Mick is looking on 'like I told you so'!!!
The pop star then hands me a £50 as a tip I respond by saying I wouldn't normally but as I had to give my Hyde pak ticket up due to a gig I'll take as a refund!
I then ask him to sign it for posterity and to show the grand kids as proof I once had a life as a great magician.
He obliges with the Quote "Sav (means Sav's) Magic is not slight of hand but real magic - Damon Albarn xxx"
Note : Damon If you do read this remember to book me for your after show TA

Al Murray - Cam kids Golfday

I was invited to perform for charity at Effingham park, Surrey for the 3rd annual camkids golfday by my celebrity pal (who I've met twice) pub landlord Al Murray.
What I can gather of the day, the golf was shocking but fun was had by all. Lots of comedy fines were issued!
Characters of the day were the smurfs, big Bob and his wife Annnnnnnne and the spud faced crew!!????
Lots of fun was arranged included a dice roll with top prize of 10,000 grand, a raffle with excellent prizes including a Gibson SG, tickets to we will rock you from Brian May, mountain bike and spa vouchers.
The auction had loads of sporting memrobillia on offer plus a table at the brasserie in Bray. I donated a 1 hour
magic masterclass for one lucky punter. (eventually went for a monkey!!!)
The organizers Dom and his wife Benita did a great job by raising £13,000 in total everyone had a great great time!!!!

Another billionaires 40th birthday - Capri

Yesterday, I had the pleasure of visiting the millionaires playground / beautiful island of Capri (it's 50 min boat ride off Napoli). I was met from the Easyjet flight by an mustached ex-marine called Paul who's job to get 'the entertainers' to the revenue point on the island (note: if every event production company reading this defiantly hire this chap!!!! It would honestly make any event run smooth as silk - I'd say 'the be all and end all in logistics men')
So, a seamless and punctual arrival to Capri the islanders were a really nice bunch, as expected lots of gesticulation and kissing of cheeks, a very happy and helpful bunch, (I suppose you would be If you lived there! I did notice that it's regulation of all inhabitants to be super good looking and naturally well groomed. The men wearing pastel colored sweaters draped over the shoulder and obligatory overkill designer watch; and the women (no wonder Dean Martin always had a smile on his face) olive skinned and squeezed into sexy skin tight jeans, heels and crucially a fluffy ornamental dog in tow.
Lunchime, post site rekky I had chance to visit a tradtional resturante to watch the said strutting and managed to scoff a genuine diavalo pizza followed by a neopolitan ice-cream, meamwhile enjoying great views of the bay and a thankfully un-rumbling Mount Versuvious plonked on the horizon thrown in for good measure!
The gig...
I was on the bill with recording artist Jade Gallager (who supported Robin Gibb on his German tour) her and accompianing boyfriend were cool. Jade and I were performing that evening for Indian Billionaire businessman Mr Prashant Ruia and his close family to celebrate his surprise 40th birthday bash. (thinking abiut it thats my 2nd billionare in as many months!) He was enjoying a weeklong bash constituted of lavish entertainment, adventure, fine diming and fun. Tonights soirée held at an exclusive resturant on the island. (http://tiny.cc/bU1rB) I must say that I honestly had a really really great time interacting with the guests, they all responded well to all the act. After my encore they took a fond interest and mentioned how much they very much enjoyed the magic as part of the evenings experiance. (thanks guys)
Incidenally, I perfomed 2 sets one 20 mins then a 45min after dinner, both shows went down well especially when the 'ideally suited' 100 euro note to lemon effect.* Came out the bag. As mentioned in that particular resturant is world famous for having 100's of lemon trees and 1000's of lemons that adourn the gaff. (seemed rude not to!)
*Effect -
I borrow a euro note, the donor signs it, it then vanishes, they point to any lemon, I cut the lemon off the tree then splice it open, you've guessed it... The very same note is found inside!
Today...
Currently sat at Naples airport mistakenly 2hrs early grrr... Non the less, I'm sat on a airport terrace in enjoying warm sunshine 8am sipping fine espresso and writing this. (better than Gatwick option)
Now back to London for this magician.
