Wedding magician

Magic is a popular option at a Wedding as its a real Ice-Breaker, Perfect both inside or outdoors and for all ages! I choose to act as an extra party guest at the event and perform magic to blend in with the ambience of the big day.  I’m very aware its not MY big day so choose to not bolster my ego by making the audience whoop and cheer unless they really want to! Choosing the right Wedding magician for your BIG day will defiantly enhance it.

Options :-

1 – Mix and mingle during the Photos (to kill the dead time)

2 – At the tables between courses of the wedding breakfast.

3- Interim period between day and night.

4- During the party for those who don’t want to dance.

Street Magic and Mystery performances has all-of-a-sudden become rather en-vogue and terribly fashionable with magicians like Dynamo, David Blaine and Derren Brown. All who are great purveyors of the art / craft. As a result has spawned lots of interest in learning more about this fascinating subject. Books on like ‘The Game’ also cite ‘magic tricks’ as a great ice-breaker at parties.

A common question I get asked at gigs is “So, how do you learn to become a magician”. I reply “Well I started magic when I was 9 years old so have been performing magic for over 25 + years”.”Wow, would you teach me they reply?” I then tell them lesson(s) will cost ‘in-the-Hundreds’ at this point most of them decline.

It’s quite easy to Google ‘learn magic’ and get a couple of ‘OK’ tricks for free. However if you want some real gems and moreover some insight what really works in-the-real-world (pardon the cliche) look no further!! The event was attended by some of  Hong Kong leading international financiers and socialites. Entertaining pre-dinner on the terrace next to the stunning infinity pool, then onto a quick mooch around the tables concluding with a 25 minute cabaret.

All went very well! Post gig, I ended out on the town with the client savoring some Hong Kong hospitality / cocktails in a few other stunning bars.
